Presentation Dress

You should have seen the dress I wore,
It was darling, ducky, divine!
The skirt was accordion pleated,
The belt was of twisted twine.
The blouse was shell pink and lacy,
While at the V-neck was a bow;
And after rehearsing for hours
I was all ready to go.
The occasion was most momentous,
I was presented in court!
But the judge didn't see my ensemble,
"Speeding. Ten dollars. Report."
